International Conference for Smart Health (ICSH), originated in 2013, intends to provide a forum for the growing international smart health research community to discuss the technical, practical, economic, behavioral, and social issues associated with smart health. ICSH welcomes studies on the principles, approaches, models, frameworks, new applications, and effects of using novel information technology to address healthcare problems and improve social welfare.
Smart health has significant implications to our society. For example, many countries are facing the aging population problem and challenges from chronic diseases, which requires a multidisciplinary approach to address. Smart health solutions bring together wearable technology, clinical big data, and operations analytics, which make aging-in-place possible and long-term chronic disease management easier. Hence, we welcome such smart health studies that address issues surrounding the quality and provision of medical and social care for elderly and chronic patients. As another example, data analytics and image processing technologies can be used in the automatic processing of medical image diagnostics, which can significantly improve the efficiency of our medical services. Smart health studies on such areas with societal impacts are also highly welcome.
In general, ICSH 2017 invites submissions in (but not limited to) the following areas:
I. Information Systems for Clinical Practice and Training
II. Clinical and Medical Data Modeling & Analytics
III. Community, Social Media, and Knowledge Management
IV. Smart/Mobile Devices for Healthcare
V. Management of Smart Health Systems
VI. Smart Health Business, Social, and Economic Issues
The conference proceedings will be published by Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS). Extended versions of selected papers will be considered for publication by IEEE Intelligent Systems (IEEE IS), Electronic Commerce Research and Applications (ECRA), and Pacific Asia Journal of the Association for Information Systems (PAJAIS).
Word Cloud of the Presentations:
ICSH will feature an MISQ health analytics workshop, which will invite established scholars to discuss their insights and experience on healthcare informatics and publishing in top-tier journals.
